I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who participated in the ballot proposing to amalgamate the above funds on 31 October 2019.
Old Mutual Unit Trusts balloted clients in terms of the requirements of Section 99 (3) of the Collective Investment Schemes Control Act (CISCA). Subsequent to the ballot form return date, our Auditors issued a factual findings report which confirmed that the CISCA Section 99 ballot requirements were satisfied. It also reflected the voting percentages in accordance with the methodology prescribed by CISCA.
For reasons explained in our previous communication, we agreed to postpone the amalgamation of the Old Mutual Mining and Resources Fund into the Old Mutual Equity Fund.
We can now confirm the following important dates:
- If you choose to switch out of the Old Mutual Mining and Resources Fund prior to the amalgamation, the last date to do so is 21 January 2020
- Special Distribution in the Old Mutual Mining and Resources Fund: 30 January 2020
- Special Distribution in the Old Mutual Equity Fund: 30 January 2020
- Amalgamation of the Old Mutual Mining and Resources Fund into the Old Mutual Equity Fund: 31 January 2020
